The English test has three components: reading, writing, and speaking. Your ability to speak English will be determined by a USCIS Officer during your eligibility interview on Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. For the reading portion, you must read one out of three sentences correctly. For the writing test, you must write one out of three sentences correctly. Also, make sure to check practice quizzes/tests for the civics part of the Naturalization Test.
Sample Reading and Writing Test during an Interview typically looks like this:Eg. Reading: When is Columbus Day? (You will be asked to read this question/line provided by the officer)Eg. Writing: Columbus Day is in October. (Officer will read/dictate the answer and will ask you to write it down)
